BusinessWeek on being "booked up for TED"
Minus five (days) on the countdown to TED2007. The whole team is at work applying the final touches and extinguishing the inevitable last-minute fires and preparing to head to Monterey (which also means that from this point on, no one on the team can guarantee to respond to individual email or phone requests... Apologies).
In the meantime, here is some reading material: a story in this week's BusinessWeek: "Forget Davos. I'm booked up for TED":

Thank you for the link and the comment, Wes. We actually suspect that the TEDtalks (http://www.ted.com/tedtalks) have played some role since we launched them in mid-2006 in increasing the TED profile among particularly students, but not only.

I recently came across a blog post in response to this posting and TED2007 in general. I found it attached to a student's Facebook page. It seems that this year there is a wider than ever before college and high school based roar about the conference. I think it could be due to the recent wide adoption of websites such as MySpace and Facebook.
