I found the talk very powerful and moving. However, the recomendations seemed to me to be less strong. Rather than invest in pseudo-science it might be better for African-Americans to invest in real science and medicine. The prices of real drugs are dropping due to countries such as India. There is now a national health system in Ghana.
Personally, the key issue for me is the lack of education and the poor quality of the education system. The majority of people are not educated beyond primary level. Senior High School is in theory free but in practise extra costs requested by schools make it too expensive for most. Those that do make it are taught not to question or think but merely to accept. Also remember that their teachers have not been education or trained in the ways they are in the West. Now try taking a society forwards! This is the real area that needs investment and sponsorship.
