		<description><![CDATA[Thanks for staying on top of this important story.  I have contacted Ethan Zuckerman over at Global Voices Online about the arrest of Andrew Mwenda and I believe that they will be posting about it soon.  Why would Uganda&#039;s President Museveni and the Ugandan militrary and intelligence service want to crackdown on this accomplished, high-profile, outspoken editor/journalist?  Dumb question.

Doesn&#039;t the Government of Uganda realize that Andrew Mwenda has loads of friends and admirers around the world (thanks in no small part to TED Global Africa 2007) and that arresting and harrassing this journalist will unleash a wave of harsh criticism and condemnation?]]></description>
