The power to connect the world: Hector Ruiz on TED.com
Hector Ruiz talks about his commitment to giving the world access to the Internet. Ruiz is the CEO of AMD, and through AMD's 50x15 initiative, Ruiz and his company hope to connect 50 percent of the world to the Internet by 2015. What a wonderfully inspiring voice Mr. Ruiz presents.
And motivation to be that very same catalyst for our own children.
I would hope that we would follow his parent's inspiration in keeping our kids in the flow of knowledge... and creating an environment that encourages real learning... not just book learning. But REAL engaged learning. The kind you only get by exploring with your hands and mind.
