Via Emeka Okafor‘s blog Timbuktu Chronicles: Kenya Stories, a fascinating new movie about the 2007 business plan competition in Kenya. Soon after the competition, national events took a tragic turn:

They are young, ambitious and want to win. 100 potential businesses. 100 great ideas. Imagine what these Kenyan youth could do for a nation plagued by unemployment. But sadly, this is the story of thwarted dreams. Six weeks after Kenya’s national business plan competition, a disputed election set off the worst violence Kenya has seen since independence in 1963. Kenya Stories is the human face of what Kenya stands to lose. They are the future that is now at risk.

The film comes from TEDGlobal speaker Carol Pineau, who also made the documentary Africa Open for Business.
