I tottaly agree with Jon, but what i have in mind now is Robert Pirsig talk about static and dynamic morality(quality). Morality is in fluid state.
We are all aware of nazis who bend their morality depending of circumstances, they've felt like victims, commiting atrocities and in the same time disobeying their inherited traits of fairness, justice etc. which somehow slam (us) back and forth.
So it's still jin-jang but twisted, rotating all the time, the "basics" change the meaning - what was then a justice now it's slaugther and this is process of cultural r-evolution.
Notions are in motion so cons. become liberals.. but we still know what's good don't we?
