No new TEDTalk today -- and some big video news
UPDATED: Starting this morning and going for two weeks, we're updating all 300+ TEDTalks with freshly encoded video. What this means:
+ it's the end of the over-loud intro music
+ our HD downloads will play in AppleTV HD
+ some downloadable files will be smaller
+ a few other glitches will be cleaned up -- if you noticed them before, you'll notice they're gone
And we'll keep bringing you fresh TEDTalks every day (except today).
We're asking for your help during this two-week process. First of all, we ask for your patience as we rebuild the video area -- no videos will disappear, but you may see the chaptermarks blip in and out.
If you'd like to help screen the new video, drop me a note with the subject line "TED video." We'll assign you a few talks to watch, and ask for your feedback via a short form. It's a great way to catch up on TEDTalks you might have missed.
And if you're watching any TEDTalk and notice a glitch, use our form to let us know.
We're thrilled to be taking this step today -- it's a big project that we've been planning for months, and we hope it makes TED.com an even more amazing resource for you.
