Bing Bong sounds like it has the same purposes as a game programmed by my brother, Robison J. Bryan. Rob's game is called "Metris" (and plays like Tetris), to be found here: http://inspiredcode.net/Metris.htm

This is fascinating stuff! I recently watched a film where the first 5 minutes are narrated entirely in rhymed verse. Of the group of friends I attended with, their understanding of the movie's plot was completely split, with one camp thinking the protagonist was a creep, and the other camp thinking he was the victorious recipient of a self-transcending gift to overcome a lifelong limitation. Were we watching the same movie? Apparently one's ability to perceive the rhymed and visual clues of the movie's opening minutes completely changed the resulting story!

I came to the conclusion that the writers did this intentionally... a game to cause two entirely different story lines to unfold simultaneously. They played the game brilliantly--the mind is a tricky thing, indeed
