She was on Bill Maher's RealTime program tonight and said TED refused to make her presentation public. I would like to ask whoever made this misguided decision to re-consider. Sarah is hilarious and clearly an extremely interesting person.
When the TED curators decided not to post Sarah Silverman's talk, they essentially lost _all_ their ted-cred. Ideas worth spreading? Yes, even if they border on the preposterous; even id they're packaged in a comic bit that makes us squirm; even if they dredge up some of those "icky" aspects of humanity that none of us like to dwell on. Adoption of a terminally-ill retarded kid? Now that's an idea. ... Shame on you, TED

It strikes me as preposterous that TED invited Sarah Silverman to present knowing full well her vocation and style of play. ? for those in command -what did you expect and why were you surprised? Seems whoever made these decisions 1) Choosing SS and expecting something different, 2) Then removing her presentation... should have their TED membership revoked to make room for someone more deserving... er ah me?
