		<description><![CDATA[My personal reaction to this segment of Ted Talk is that it’s a natural response to want to fear China because it’s becoming so strong, but I agree with Ted that this doesn’t necessarily have to result in another World War. However, I do think that Ted is being a bit too naïve and idealistic because just because people shouldn’t really be scared, that doesn’t mean that they won’t be. When people are afraid, they become defensive, so I do think the growth of China’s economy will result in some of kind of conflict, but with the practice of smart power as he mentions, I don’t think that things will get too out of hand. I just believe that it’s natural to have shifts in global power. It’s happened throughout history, but the panic, not the actual economic growth, resulted in the following chaos.]]></description>
