A powerful new ad for “It Gets Better”

Posted by: Emily McManus
  • The latest commercial for Google Chrome premiered tonight on US television. Which isn’t news we’d blog ordinarily, but this commercial is something special. It tells the story of the It Gets Better project — a video-powered social movement that uses direct, personal messages to tell young gay, lesbian, bi and transgendered teens that life is not like high school, that things do get better.

The TED Blog appears in this commercial for a fleeting moment (blink at 0:45 and you’ll miss it). We’re proud to be part of this amazing, ongoing movement, both by writing about the project and by sharing extraordinary video.

I’m so glad you took the time to post this here. If even one TED follower learns about this project (through watching the video or from someone who forwards this post onto someone else or through some other means because of this post) — it was worth it. :-)

      With Love and Gratitude,

      Jeremiah
