John Boswell is the musician and producer behind the Symphony of Science. The goal of the project is to bring scientific knowledge and philosophy to the public through music. So far in the series, he’s mixed together insights on topics such as the earth’s place on the cosmos, the quantum world and, as shown below an “ode to the brain,” featuring Carl Sagan, Robert Winston, and TED world favorite, Jill Bolte Taylor.
Boswell has made a similar mashup for TED, including footage from this year’s conference. Completely amazing:

I am hoping that this video will be available soon. I found it re-inspiring and instructive, and look forward to sharing it with my non-TEDaware friends. Timing a release immediately post-TED2012 will be excellent, while the memories are still fresh.

“Ode to the Brain” is not the clip that was shown at TED 2012.
