I saw the Ronson talk after watching two documentary films on the subject, and then reading both of Robert Hare’s and Paul Babiak’s books. I found Jon Ronson’s perspective interesting, and it made me think. But the result did not take me anywhere new. For anyone who wants to learn more about psychopathy, I suggest the following:

“I am Fishead”, a documentary on corporate psychopathy: http://fhmovie.com
“BBC Horizon, Are You Good Or Evil?” (Try searching on the Internet for it.)

Both of the these were released in 2011, and have clips of Robert Hare and other psychologists speaking about psychopathy and explaining it. I’m very glad I learned about this because I am very certain it will help me have a much better life, and avoid becoming involved with social predators. After discussing the topic with my friends who were already familiar with it, I was surprised to find that we all agree that if the problem of psychopathy were solved, all other major problems on the planet would, over time, naturally go away. I can’t be sure this is true, but I regard psychopathy as a keystone issue from which many other major problems originate.

In my opinion, it is not appropriate to use the topic of psychopathy for entertainment, or to treat it lightly.

I do however have real world experience,..We have learned how to trigger the “mask of sanity” reaction,, and when you see that?? then you really know!! this is a psychopath,, the look,,bestial,,and the eye,s??.. feral,..sometimes you will only see it for few seconds,, you do! have to be alert to spot it,..I really dont think psychopathy is something that can be “partial”,, there are degree,s..but the “beast” is in them all,,some are better at hiding it than others,,some not at all,,,but when you see it?? you will! know about psychopathy and its very real dangers,..they are so clever,dr Hare says”casuisticly cunning” and that is accurate,, they will cook up schemes and scams that you or i would never even think of, never mind do,..it has been a fascinating,scary! and at times terrifying ride for me,,but the knowledge has saved my life and the life of millions of other vulerable people, so it has been worth it,..great article,,you hit some good points,,if I can be of any help do ask,, but dont expect an “expert”..like I said,, never met one of those,, so far anyways,..you know, a book on psychopaths in medicine would be of great interest to many many people,, and they are!! there,,you bet!!..often lurking at the fringes,,where they try and usurp control[and often do too!!].. of the weak and the vulnerable,..mostly;women,children,the elderly and!! the disabled,..they will take the money,, but it is mainly about power and control in this area,..thanx for the read,, “real” Robert C Lawson[psychopaths stole my id then tagged me as a cop killer,clever, no??],btw, i am on f book,, and you can e mail me if you like,,contact me on f book[it is secure!] and we can go from there,..
