The most beneficial thing I could do for the greatest number of living things is make known to as many people in influential positions as possible, the important discovery that the common urge of all living things is the urge to survive - and that this survival urge breaks down into 8 divisions (1) The urge to survive as oneself (2) the urge to survive through sex and family to create a new generation (3) the urge to survive through the groups we belong to - club, church, work, village, city, state, nation, race (4) the urge to survive as a species - for us, mankind (all races) (5) the urge to ensure the survival of other species, plants and animals - as our survival depends on them (6) the urge to have our physical possessions and the physical universe survive (7) the urge to survive as spiritual beings of the spiritual universe (8) the urge for survival of the infinite (God, Supreme Being, Author of the Universe, Cosmic Consciousness, Universal Awareness or how ever one personally describes the infinite). If all planning and all decisions were based on optimum survival across these 8 divisions of the basic urge to survive then all mankind and all species would flourish and prosper. Many years of research resulted in this highly valuable discovery by my late good friend, L. Ron Hubbard.
