TED Talks Live: War and Peace, Nov. 3 and 4

Posted by:

Can we build a future without war? What does it take to bring peace? Join those who have experienced every aspect of war — fighters, journalists, psychologists, and more — for a look at the impact of war in the world.

TED Talks Live: War and Peace brings a night of thought-provoking talks and performances to New York’s Town Hall Theater on Nov. 3 and 4, 2015. Get tickets here »

On either night, you can expect many great talks — including bold new ideas from author Sebastian Junger (Restrepo) and actor Adam Driver of Star Wars, a Marine Corps vet. Rufus Wainwright will play a short set of songs, and Pulitzer-winning poet Yusef Komunyakaa will share poems with roots in his personal experience.

War & Peace is one of three TED Talks Live themes. The Education Revolution will run on November 1 and 2, and Science & Wonder will follow on November 5 and 6. Each night will be a thought-provoking mix of talks, performances and special surprises, hosted by author and comedian Baratunde Thurston.

TED Talks Live is funded by The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, in partnership with TED and ITVS. Content from the events will air in three primetime specials on PBS in the spring of 2016.
