Congratulations to Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, who won an Oscar this evening for her short documentary Saving Face. Obaid-Chinoy accepted the award with co-director Daniel Junge. She may be the first person from Pakistan to win an Oscar — and she’s definitely the first of our TED Fellows to take home an Academy Award.
