Today, YouTube’s homepage spotlight features interviews with the creatives behind the campaigns that won TED’s Ads Worth Spreading — an initiative to recognize and reward innovation, ingenuity and intelligence in advertising. The 10 winning ads were unveiled at TED2012 and representatives of each campaign attended the conference from Tunisia, Germany, Japan, Canada and the US.
The ads are incredibly different, from the hysterically funny “Your Man Reminder” for Rethink Breast Cancer to the meditatively beautiful “Xylophone” for NTT Docomo mobile phones. The diversity makes for fascinating interviews, as Mehdi Lamloum of Memac Ogilvy Tunisia talks about creating this amazing public stunt to encourage voting in the first democratic elections of his country, while William Charnock and Erin Lynch of R/GA discuss how the L’Oréal campaign they created challenges beauty conventions.
Watch all the ads and hear from the people behind each of these inspiring campaigns in this YouTube playlist.
