A different way to think about creative genius: Elizabeth Gilbert on TED.com
Fresh from TED2009, Elizabeth Gilbert muses on the impossible things we expect from artists and geniuses — and shares the radical idea that, instead of the rare person “being” a genius, all of us “have” a genius. It’s a funny, personal and surprisingly moving talk. (Recorded February 2009 in Long Beach, California. Duration: 19:29.)

This is so amazing and so inspirational to listen through out in it’s entirety. I highly recommend to this anyone that is willing to dare to believe in themselves. It’s heart warming to feel that another feels in the sense as I do in oneself or better said in ourselves.
One of the biggest feats in life is to not only listen but to he…ar and then be understood intelligently. The lesson she offers to you here is to understand your mortality and true creative genuineness is their, if you learn to listen and accept it’s really you all along!Bravo and thank you!

A great talk and a great way to overcome the fear of success/failure. Thank you for sharing this technique and reminding us that expectations can also block rather than encourage people to create. Ole!
