I am in agreement. Coming from a background with ADHD, I feel I was always discouraged from being my own person. To grow up and have parents who were both in the medical field puts a lot of pressure to on a person to succeed in institutions like college. It is a great deal more difficult for a “stubborn/too proud” kid to accomplish the same papers than for someone without a learning disability. I am now gearing my thought process to work with its strengths to overcome difficulties as opposed to against it!
