3 things I learned while my plane crashed: Ric Elias on TED.com
Ric Elias had a front-row seat on Flight 1549, the plane that crash-landed in the Hudson River in New York in January 2009. What went through his mind as the doomed plane went down? At TED, he tells his story publicly for the first time. (Recorded at TED2011, March 2011, in Long Beach, CA. Duration: 5:03)

My favorite line that has made a deep impression on me was “I choose not to be right, I choose happiness.”
Thanks Ric!

Sharing such life changing experiences with the rest of the world allow others to appreciate their lives and realize how near death can be ! Many people dont realize that they have short lives to live and should live to their fullest !!:D

Thanks Ric!
Great message, great example to show how simple this ‘whole thing ‘ is… life’s so simple, but we insist on making it complicated.
Thanks pal, precious seed that we’ll plant with much care!

I really liked the first line about being a “collector of bad wine.” It was an interesting way of saying “cherish each moment.”
With Love and Gratitude,
