I study social justice at the New School (spoiler alert: I'm for it). I grew up in Alaska and Israel and as a result, I am of a rare group of people who are often faced with both questions: "Did you ride a polar bear to school?" and "Did you ride a camel to school?" (spoiler alert: yes to both).
