I grew up in the Washington, DC area, before making my way to Grinnell College in Iowa. Since graduating in 2015, I've worked at the National Institutes of Health and the American Society of Nephrology. I joined the TEDx media team in February 2015. As the Science and Tech Fellow, I screen for psuedoscience and write for both the TED and Ideas blog, among other things. Also, I'm currently in grad school at Johns Hopkins University.

Inspired by his mother, who learned to play the organ through a mail-order course, Rucker taught himself how to play this instrument. But right here on the []
